Tavua wins Viti Levu Senior League

Tavua topped the Viti Levu zone of the Vodafone Senior League today after beating Northland Tailevu 2-0 in its deciding match.

Heading into today’s decider round, Tailevu Naitasiri (22 points), Tavua (21 points) and Nadroga (20 points) had the chance to top the table and qualify for the final playoff.

Nadroga managed to overcome Tailevu Naitasiri 1-0 but fell short by 1 point as Tavua also managed to secure a win.

Tavua will now play Northern winners Seaqaqa on a home and away basis to determine the winner of the competition who will gain an automatic entry in the premier division in the new season.
