Koroibete to start against Springboks

Fiji-born wing Marika Koroibete will get his first start for the Wallabies when they take on South Africa in the Rugby Championship in Bloemfontein on Sunday.

He relegates fellow countryman Henry Speight as Coach Michael Cheika has decided to include three rookies in his starting team.

The other two are Izack Rodda and Jack Dempsey.

Chieka said Koroibete who made his debut against Argentina in their 45-20 win needs game time to prove himself and believes the opportunity this weekend will be a good one for the NRL convert.

"I just want to see him get that opportunity," Cheika told the ARU website.

"He did well in the first game and now starting he will have a chance to prepare himself for the whole week and get ready.”

"He still has a bit to work on in terms of finding his lines off set-pieces and things like that but defensively and his work-rate, and stuff like that, he's on the money."

Meanwhile Tevita Kuridrani will start at outside centre while Samu Kerevi will join Speight on the bench.

South Africa will meet Australia at 3.05am on Sunday.
