Krishna scores stunner in Roar stalemate

An absolute pile-driver from Fijian Captain Roy Krishna was the highlight of Wellington Phoenix’s 3-3 draw against Brisbane Roar at Westpac Stadium last night.

The hosts went up in the first minute through an Andrija Kaludjerovic header but it was Krishna's thunderous strike in the 18th minute that stole the show.

Smarting a new hair-color, the Siberia native from Labasa picked up the ball all of thirty yards out on a slight angle before lashing it into Michael Theo's top corner.

Wellington Phoenix led 3-1 at the break but allowed the visitors to get back into the match and level it up in the second half.

Phoenix is currently placed seventh on the standings with just 2 points from their four matches this season.

They play Newcastle Jets in Round 5 next Saturday.
