Fiji tops pool, faces Scotland in quarters

The Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team has topped its pool in Dubai with three straight wins and will play Scotland in the Cup quarterfinal tonight.

Fiji defeated Australia 26-19 in its final pool match this morning to march into the quarterfinals unbeaten.

The Jerry Tuwai skippered side in earlier matches defeated Wales 21-7 and Russia 50-7.

Fiji will play Scotland in the second quarterfinal at 8.22pm (Fiji Time) while South Africa will take on Samoa in the first quarterfinal at 8pm.

New Zealand will battle against Kenya in the third quarterfinal at 8.44pm while Australia and England will clash in the last quarterfinal at 9.06pm.

Meanwhile Fiji has lost stylish playmaker Waisea Nacuqu to an injury and he has been replaced by Amenoni Nasilasila in the final squad.
