Goalkeeper Tamanisau returns for Suva

2014 Inter District Championship (IDC) winning captain Ulaiasi Tamanisau will return for Suva in the Vodafone Premier League this weekend.

The former national Futsal rep who was away on peacekeeping duties in South Africa has returned home and rejoined the Whites in training.

Suva FA President Ritesh Pratap told FijiLive that Tamanisau has been adjusting well with the team and is likely to start against Rewa on Sunday.

“Ulaiasi is back from South Africa and he is currently our top choice keeper as you know Tevita Koroi has been suspended from all levels of football. Ulaiasi is a very experienced keeper and it will be good to have him around,” said Pratap.

He also confirmed that Emori Ragata will also be rejoining the team this week from Labasa.

“Emori gave me a call and he is apologetic for his indiscipline last year. If he comes back and trains hard and proves himself then we will surely give him a chance.”

“Apart from these two goalkeepers we also have former Fiji youth goalkeeper Panapasa Ratumuri who will also join us later in the week.”

Suva and Rewa will battle it out at Ratu Cakobau Park at 3pm on Sunday.
