Fiji Warriors lose narrowly to Reds

The Fiji Warriors were beaten 17-15 by the Queensland Reds in a closely contested Super Rugby warm up match in Ballymore last night.

The teams were leveled 10-10 at halftime with prop Tuwere Vugakoto scoring for Fiji and Enele Malele converting and kicking a penalty.

Taniela Tupou scored for the Reds while James Tuttle kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Replacement hooker Ratunaisa Navuma scored the second try for the Fijians midway in the second half and this gave them a 15-10 lead until Izaia Perese scored for the hosts in the 75th minute and a successful conversion from Hamish Stewart saw them snatch the narrow win.
