Bula Boys register second loss

The Vodafone Fiji football team returns from its tour of Philippines empty handed after losing its second and final match 3-2 to a professional Kaya FC outfit in Manila last night.

The side featured without top striker Roy Krishna who flew back to New Zealand for A-League commitments after playing in their 3-2 loss to the Philippines national team on Thursday night.

Coach Christophe Gamel made nine changes to the starting line-up keeping only Captain Remueru Tekiate and defender Kolinio Sivoki from the last match.

Youngsters Patrick Joseph, Marika Rawasoi,  Kishan Sami and Epeli Leiroti made their first full international debut at the senior level while other changes to the lineup included veteran goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, Sakaraia Naisua, Setareki Hughes, Napolioni  Qasevakatini and Rusiate Matarerega.

Captain Tekiate and replacement midfielder Dave Radrigai scored Fiji’s goals in the match.

The Fijian contingent returns home tomorrow.
