Fiji cruises into Vancouver 7s quarters

Fiji has progressed to the Cup quarters of Vancouver 7s after thumping France 38-7 in its second pool match at the BC Place Stadium today.

Star of Hamilton 7s, Alosio Naduva grabbed a brace of tries in the first half and lanky forward Josua Vakurunabili touched down once as Fiji led 21-0 at halftime.

France scored their only try of the match early in the second half through Jean Pascal- Barrack.

Captain Jerry Tuwai scored Fiji’s fourth try from a solo-effort and replacements Waisea Nacuqu and Eroni Sau added two more tries to seal the big impressive victory.

The Fiji Airways Men’s team plays its next match against Kenya at 1.40pm (Fiji Time).
