Fiji makes flying start in Vancouver 7s

The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team started its campaign on a high note in Vancouver today and walloped Spain 45-5 at the BC Place Stadium.

The Fijians were ruthless from the opening whistle and scored four outstanding tries through Captain Jerry Tuwai, Kalione Nasoko (2) and Vatemo Ravouvou to lead 26-5 at halftime.

Coach Gareth Baber used all the substitutes off the bench in the second half three further tries to Josua Vakurunabili, debutant Batinisavu Uluiyata and Eroni Sau wrapped up the big Fijian win.

Fiji faces France in its next match at 10.06am (Fiji Time) and Kenya at 1.40pm.
