Three in a row for Fiji Warriors

The Fiji Warriors won their third consecutive World Rugby Pacific Challenge title in Suva today after walloping Tonga A 57-7 in their last match.

The Senirusi Seruvakula coached side ended its campaign unbeaten and was a class apart against their three opponents in the tournament.

The Fijians scored seven unanswered tries in the first half through fullback Inia Tawalo, Number 8 Albert Tuisue (2), lock Tevita Ratuva, winger Veramu Dikidikilati, inside centre Waisale Urabuta and loose-head prop Luke Tagi to lead 43-0 at halftime.

Fly-half Serupepeli Vularika and Urabuta scored two more tries for the Fiji Warriors in the second half while Tonga’s only try of the match was scored by Captain Fetuli Paea.

In their earlier matches, Fiji Warriors defeated Samoa A 33-21 and thumped Junior Japan 28-3.

Meanwhile Junior Japan finished second after beating Samoa A 29-21 in its last match today.
