Dreketi holds 10-man Rewa in VPL

A determined and gallant effort from Dreketi saw them register a goalless draw against Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today.

The Northerners played with a lot of confidence and frustrated the Delta Tigers with their style of play.

Goalkeeper Petero Namoce stole the show for Dreketi as he made numerous saves in both spells while midfielder Akeimi Ralulu and attackers Anish Khem and Vilikesa Sowani also looked impressive.

Rewa lost Brazilian defender Diego Maximo in the second half after double bookings and was forced to defend more with a player less on the field.

The result sees Rewa remain at the bottom of the Vodafone Premier League standings with just 2 points from five matches while Dreketi now has 4 points from four matches and sits on the sixth spot.

Dreketi plays Suva in its next fixture at 1pm on Sunday while Rewa will take on Labasa at 3pm.

Both matches will be played at Ratu Cakobau Park.
