Lautoka holds Tavua, qualifies for semis

Lautoka has qualified for the semifinals of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT after coming from behind to hold crowd favorites Tavua 1-1 in their last Group B match at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today.

Tavua made a brilliant start to the match and after a number of misses, midfielder Mosim Khan managed to score their opener in the 40th minute.

Lautoka threw everything in the second half in search of the equalizer and it came just five minutes before the final whistle as Solomon Islands import Benjamin Totori was fouled inside the box.

Zibraaz Sahib made no mistake with his attempt to level scores.

The result gives Lautoka five points on the table and secures their spot in last four while Tavua who now have four points will have to await the result of the Suva vs Nadi match to know its fate.

Tavua- Jovilisi Borisi, Summet Goundar, Kasim Khan, Semi Vakatalai, Ratu Dau, Aporosa Balei, Atunaisa Livanalagi, Tomasi Biautubu, Mosim Khan, Ratu Sairusi Nalewadonu, Hussaini Khan.

Lautoka-  Beniaminio Mateinaqara, Praneel Naidu, Zibraaz Sahib, Shazil Ali, Poasa Bainivalu, Jone Vesikula , Kaviaia Rawaqa, Benjamin Totori, Semi Matawalu, Shivam Naidu, Kolinio Sivoki.
