Champs Rewa book FACT final spot

Defending champion Rewa has sealed its spot in the final of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT after beating Lautoka 1-0 in the second semifinal at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.

Midfielder Setareki Hughes netted the lone goal of the exciting clash in the 35th minute from 30 yards out with a powerful volley which left goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara and the Blues defence stunned.

The hosts led by Benjamin Totori upfront toiled hard for the equaliser and missed many chances in the second half while Rewa stopper Manasa Waqavou displayed a Man of the Match performance and made numerous daring saves to keep a clean sheet in the encounter.

Rewa will meet Labasa in the grand finale next Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

The final is scheduled to commence at 2pm.
