Champs RKS remain on track

Defending U18 champions Ratu Kadavulevu School have progressed to the semifinals of the 2018 Powerade Super Deans Championship after walloping Nasinu Secondary School 46-0 in their quarterfinal clash at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

The Viliame Sokiveta skippered side looked ruthless and dominated all aspects of the match.

RKS will meet Ratu Navula College of Nadi in the second semifinal this Saturday.

Ratu Navula defeated John Wesley College 23-12 in its quarterfinal clash.

Cuvu College will face Marist Brothers High School in the first semifinal.

The Sigatoka based school created the first upset of the quarterfinals after beating Eastern Zone champs Lelean Memorial School 20-14.

Marist booked its spot in the semifinal after its 5-5 draw against Queen Victoria School. With no points scored in extra time, Marist progressed through as they scored first in the match.

Meanwhile RKS will not be able to make a clean sweep this year as the school’s U17 team was beaten 13-11 by Marist Brothers in their quarterfinal match.


U14: RKS 37-0 Nasinu, Suva Grammar 36-5 AOG, QVS 46-5 RSMS, Lelean 10-6 Marist.

U15: RKS 20-12 Grammar, Marist 20-17 Ba Provincial, QVS 31-10 Sigatoka Methodist, Lelean 13-8 Nasinu.

U16: QVS 15-7 Ratu Navula, RKS 20-13 Nasinu, Natabua 23-20 Marist, Suva Grammar 15-11 Lelean.

U17: Ratu Navula 29-19 John Wesley, QVS 27-20 Natabua, Marist 13-11 RKS, Lelean 24-15 Nasinu.

U18: Cuvu College 20-14 Lelean, Marist 5-5 QVS, Ratu Navula 23-12 John Wesley, RKS 46-0 Nasinu.

U19: Lelean 40-10 St Bedes, RKS 39-3 Ratu Navula, John Wesley 20-14 QVS, Nasinu 12-0 Nasikawa.
