60k boost for Marist 7s

The 47th Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens Tournament has received an early $60,000 boost from major sponsors Paradise Beverages Limited at their office in Walu Bay today.

Continuing their traditional committment to supporting Fiji’s top local sevens tournament, General Manager Mike Spencer they were ready to commit to Fiji biggest stage where grassroots rugby was groomed.

“With two Olympic Games gold medals, the Marist 7s is where it begins, and where many of Fiji’s rugby stars have been found,” Spencer said.

“We are honoured to support grassroots rugby and look forward to doing so for years to come.”

The Marist 7s will host 64 teams across four grades this year.

40 teams will contest the Men’s main category, eight women’s, 12 teams in the Under 21 grade with four teams in the Fellow Fijians.

Teams have been advised to register in time to be part of this year’s Marist 7s and avoid disappointment.

The Marist 7s will be held on March 16 to 18 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
