American producer enjoys rugby fiesta

American producer Brandon Avery enjoyed witnessing his first-ever rugby match between the Flying Fijians and Tonga in Pacific Nations Cup clash opener at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.

Avery and his team arrived earlier this week for producing the popular American series ‘Love Island’ season 4 and said he was eager to watch the game.

“When I came to Fiji all I heard from people was rugby. Everyone was talking about the game and when we met a few people also asked us to watch this game.”

“My team and I came from Nadi and bought tickets to the game.”

“Fijians are just crazy about rugby and I love this country, the people here are so welcoming and it’s amazing to watch how the sport unites everyone here.”

“I really loved the match. The Fijians are much more aggressive than the American football in the States.”

Avery added they will begin shooting the series around the country soon.
