Auditor remanded for $96K fraud

A 31-year-old man was produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday and remanded for a case of General Dishonesty Causing a Loss and Theft for allegedly stealing more than $96,000.

The accused whilst employed as an internal auditor for a business group in Labasa, had allegedly between the 1st to the 13th of January 2022 stolen assorted recharge cards worth more than $96,000.

He was produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday and remanded in custody till the 7th of June, 2024 for plea.
