Ba aims for a positive start in FACT

Football giants Ba are entering the tournament with a positive outlook, ready to tackle the challenging Fiji FACT pool ahead.

The Men in Black last won Fiji FACT in 2010, defeating Navua 1-0 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Speaking to FijiLive, Interim President Azam Ali said some key Ba players such as Mohammed Fataul Raheem, Etonio Dogalau, Sailasa Ratu and Atunaisa Naucukidi are in the national camp which hinders their full squad training.

However, he is confident in the fitness and high level of experience these players are gaining from the camp.

Ali further added that sensational youngster Nabil Begg will not be part of their Fiji FACT campaign.

“These players are all experienced; they will integrate smoothly and contribute strongly when they train with the team, other than that, we are training hard to face our pool challengers,” he said.

The team is also proactively managing injuries to Rahul Naresh and Raj Pillay.

Ba’s first test comes against Lautoka at 4.30pm at Subrail Park in Labasa this Friday.
