C17 Globemaster conducts training flights

A Royal Australian Air Force C17 Globemaster is currently conducting training in Fiji.

The purpose of the C17 training flights is to ensure operational readiness to support potential Fiji Government disaster response taskings for the high-risk weather season.

Some low flying is occurring in the vicinity of Nadi, Nausori, Labasa and outlying areas and all flying is conducted in accordance with Fiji’s civil aviation safety requirements.

This engagement contributes to the close bonds of cooperation under the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership.

The training session started on Thursday and will conclude on Monday.
