Captain Hughes scoops MOTM award

Rewa Captain Setareki Hughes scooped the Player of the Match award after starring in their 3-2 win over the Solomon Warriors in their second group match of the 2024 OFC Champions League in Tahiti today.

Hughes scored the equaliser in the 39th minute, skillfully beating a defender and shooting between two Warriors’ defenders to level the score at 1-1.

Throughout the game, the Dreketi native anchored the team, creating potential opportunities with his passes and drives.

In the 69th minute, he set up the final goal by sending a through pass to Sela, who beat the offside trap, rounded the keeper, and scored from a side angle.
