Champions start strong at IDC

Defending champions Ba displayed a dominant performance in their opening match, securing a 6-0 win against Rewa in the 2023 Digicel Women’s IDC at Fiji FA Vatuwaqa.

The match featured an aggressive attacking front from Ba, which Rewa struggled to counter.

The scoring began with Elesi Tabunase finding the net in the 34th minute, quickly followed by Cema Nasau who added a second just two minutes later with a precise shot from an acute angle near the goalmouth.

Ulamila Rasonasona increased the lead before halftime with a goal in the 47th minute.

Rewa made some attempts and created opportunities through Adi Litia Bakaniceva and Lora Bukalidi  but all were thwarted by Ba’s defense, preventing any chance of a comeback.

In the second half, Sisilia Kuladina, who came on after the break, made an instant impact by scoring twice, in the 54th and the 81st minutes, further extending Ba’s lead and ending the match in Ba’s favor.
