Covenant reps vie for spot in King 7s Select

Members of the Covenant Brothers Rugby Club are vying for a spot in the King 7s Select for next week’s McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s.

Team official Savenaca Uluibau said the team is working hard to get a spot in the top team.

“We have a good number of young players from our club that have been given an opportunity to play in the Coral Coast next week for the King 7s Select side,” Uluibau said during the team’s hit-out at Buckhurst Park in Suva yesterday.

“Competition is very high in the team itself because they all want to play for the King 7s team.

Uluibau said the 12 players from Suva would link up with another set of players in the west before the team would be chosen ahead of the tournament.

“Our players are confident that they will earn a spot and do the King 7s team proud like many who have played for the team before.”
