Fiji Labour Party Leader and former Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry is urging all Fijians to go to their registered polling station and exercise their right to vote.
After casting his vote at the University of the South Pacific’s Statham Campus in Suva this morning, Chaudhry also acknowledged the work done by the Fijian Elections Office.
“It was pretty smooth here. It didn’t take much time. I was given preference because of my age.”
“Please come and vote. It’s very important. This election is very crucial for the future. They must exercise their right. People are trickling.”
606,092 registered voters are expected to cast their votes today.
