Coca-Cola Games to be held in May: Waqa

Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association Secretary Vuli Waqa has confirmed that this year’s Coca-Cola Games will be held from 11-13 May at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Waqa said initially the plan was to host the Games from 4-6 of May which is also Week 13 in the School Calendar.

However, he said they had to move the Games date to a week late due to the Super Rugby Pacific match between the Fijian Drua and Hurricanes on the 6 of May.

He said the Coca-Cola Games will be held on Week 14 of the first school term and this will give more time for athletes to prepare for the competition.

Meanwhile, Suva Grammar School and Adi Cakobau School are the reigning boys and girls champions.

Mahatma Gandhi High School students Waisale Inoke and Kesaia Boletanakadavu won the boys and girls blue ribbon event last year.
