The Fijian Elections Office will closely monitor the weather situation on Election Day as some parts of the country are flooded after heavy rain.

In a press conference this afternoon, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said if there are any changes to the polling schedule for some areas, the announcement will be made tomorrow.

However, the Fiji Meteorological Service says fine weather is expected apart from brief showers over Sigatoka to Navua, Suva/Nausori/Tailevu area, Nadroga/Navosa, Serua/Namosi and Naitasiri.
