FFP accepts GE results

FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says they have accepted the results of the 2022 General Elections.

In a press conference yesterday, Sayed-Khaiyum said no party had outright won the majority.

He said FijiFirst has 26 seats, while the People’s Alliance and the National Federation Party have 26.

“SODELPA has three, and they have what you call the balance of power.”

“At the end of the day, what matters is on the floor of Parliament.”

But when asked by FijiLive that the letter sent to His Excellency the President, should be an indication that PA, NFP and SODELPA is forming a partnership, he said he did not want to preempt anything.

“You can see it that way, I on the other hand, don’t,” he added.
