FijiCare Insurance Limited has launched two new products- a comprehensive travel insurance cover and VuvaleCare, which an online platform for bundled micro-insurance.
FijiCare was the first local insurer in Fiji to offer the visitors insurance from 1st December 2021.
The product provided COVID cover for isolation costs, COVID tests, hospitalisation expenses, trip curtailment expenses, transportation costs and repatriation of mortal remains and was designed to cover for medical and non-medical treatment expenses, so that tourists travelling to Fiji can enjoy hassle-free holiday.
This was in line with the Fijian Government announcement for tourists to have COVID insurance in place whilst visiting Fiji.
In response to the product’s great demand, FijiCare has now expanded this product to offer comprehensive travel insurance cover that includes medical, COVID-19, and accidental death benefit.
Both visitors to Fiji and citizens of Fiji who go abroad are eligible for the cover.

Additionally, FijiCare has launched VuvaleCare – an online platform through which the company will be able to offer its bundled micro-insurance product.
The bundled micro-insurance cover provides for funeral assistance, term life, fire on dwelling, and personal accident insurance coverage.
This is now being launched on a fully online platform under www.VuvaleCare.com website.
Fijian diaspora living anywhere in the world will be able to purchase this cover for their loved ones back in Fiji through this platform thus promoting financial inclusion and greater insurance coverage for the most vulnerable.
As part of this new distribution platform and in a bid to bring families closer and more connected; enhancements will be made moving forward to enable Fijians and families overseas to take care of the needs of their vuvale by purchasing or gifting goods and services on VuvaleCare.
