Fiji rugby’s talent is endless: Injera

Kenya sevens star Collins Injera says the Fiji 7s factory for rugby players is endless.

The 2023 McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens ambassador said after witnessing three days of high-tempo competition, he was more than blown away.

“It’s surreal to see the amount of talent Fiji has,” Injera said.

“I have been to some of the villages and everywhere I go, from very young kids they are playing rugby.

“Then we come back to the ground and you witness at the end stage where the semifinals just go into multiple over-times, you get lost for words.

Injera said this would not be his last trip to Fiji and looks forward to coming back next year.

“It has been enjoyable and definitely I will be coming back.”

Injera thanked the Fijian people for the kind hospitality that has been shown to him and his family over the last few days.
