Team Fiji has secured five medals at the 17th Pacific Games in Solomon Islands in the last two days of the tournament.
While Fiji is yet to win any Gold, they have currently bagged three Silver and two Bronze medals from the Pool Games so far.
Swimmer Kelera Mudunasoko won the first silver in the 50 meters breaststroke on day one before our swimmers won the first bronze in the relay.
Mudunasoko secured her second silver medal last night while Anahira McCutcheon who was disqualified in the women’s 50 meters breaststroke made up for it in the backstroke delivering in the 50 meters backstroke final to win a silver medal.
The women’s 200 meters freestyle swimming relay team won a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Fiji has dropped to 14th on the overall Pacific Games medal tally.
A few medal playoff events have started and Rugby League 9s is in a Gold medal match against Samoa at 7 pm today.
Table Tennis could also medal as both the Men, Women and Para Women are in the semi finals.
A cracker of a match is expected in the Women’s Volleyball Quarterfinal against PNG at 7pm today.
