Fiji shows strength at Oceania Championship

Fijian weightlifters are displaying strong performances at the Oceania Weightlifting Championship which currently underway in Auckland, New Zealand.

Apakuki Tabuawaiwai recently competed in the senior men’s 61kg category, lifting a total of 190kg, narrowly missing a bronze medal.

Today, Fiji’s hopes are high as Nehemiah Elder will be competing in the 73kg category, Nathan Koroi and Daniel Shaw will take the stage in 81kg and 89kg weight categories, followed by Mereia Turaganivalu who will represent Fiji in the 59kg category.

With rigorous preparation under their belt, the Fiji team is ready to compete against the region’s best, backed by dedicated support from coaches and staff.
