They are now one step closer to obtaining a FIFA badge in the near future.

“It is a proud moment of us as we are the only three referees selected from Fiji to officiate at OFC level. We are representing Fiji Referees and would like to thank Fiji Football Association and the Referees committee for their support mentally and spiritually,” Varman told FijiLive from Nukualofa.

“We have other referees who have been selected under OFC academy and upon excellence they will be prompted to OFC badge and then FIFA.”

Varman, who is a doctor by profession, thanked his superiors at Wainibokasi Hospital and the Health Ministry for allowing him to represent the country in refereeing.
