Five people were rescued by the Lautoka WATERPOL, after the engine of the boat they were traveling in encountered problems, and began drifting off the Lautoka waters and Yasawa.

At 4pm, Police said their team received a report that five people heading to Nacula had faced engine problems.

They said a team from the WATERPOL Lautoka was deployed, and at around 6pm, all five occupants were safely rescued and conveyed to the Lautoka wharf.
