Fuli banks on reshaped Fijiana squad

Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli says despite an in injury setback, he is banking on his reshaped squad to deliver at this weekend’s Hamilton 7s.

Fuli said they are bulked by the return of seasoned players as well as the introduction of debutants in this leg.

“We have bought back some girls that missed out on Dubai and Cape Town and we have roped in some new players,” Fuli said.

“We had lost a few players, and we three players in Sesenieli Donu, Verenaisi Bari, Mereula Toroti to undergo surgery.

“We have to start new and expose a few players.”

Veteran Rusila Nagasau returns to the fold with youngster Maria Rokotuisiga to make her debut.

“I have to trust the players and I can’t wait to see what they will do at this back-to-back tournament.”

The Fijiana begin their campaign against Great Britain at 10.22am tomorrow.
