A Heavy Rain Warning is in force for the whole of the Fiji Group while a Flash Flood Warning is in force for low-lying and flash flood-prone areas across the country.
The Nadi Weather Office in its latest bulletin said an active trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the country and it is expected to gradually weaken and move north, clearing the group from later in the day tomorrow.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms are likely over most of the Fiji Group today and into the early part of tomorrow.
The next high tide is around midnight tonight.
While rainfall is expected to gradually ease from later in the day tomorrow, isolated thunderstorms with heavy rain is still possible, especially in the afternoon and evening.
Localised heavy falls could lead to flash flooding of low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Meanwhile, a high-pressure system to the far south of the Fiji Group is directing a strong southeasterly wind flow over the country.
Consequently, a Strong Wind Warning is in force for the land areas of Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, and southwest and eastern Viti Levu.
The strong winds over the land areas is forecasted to ease from later tomorrow.
