I am humbled to lead, says Rabuka

Newly elected Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka says that he is humbled to serve the nation after being successfully voted into power by Parliament today.

While making his way out of the Parliament Chambers on route to the State House to be sworn in by His Excellency the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, Rabuka said he was grateful.

In Parliament this morning, Members of Parliament voted 28-27 in favour of Rabuka.

It is also understood that members of his cabinet will also be sworn in today.

He is expected to make key appointments of his cabinet that will look into key areas of the economy.
