Ikanivere cleared to play against Rebels

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua hooker Tevita Ikanivere has been cleared to feature against the Melbourne Rebels on Friday.

Ikanivere was given a yellow card just before halftime in their 31-13 win over the Western Force and after assessment, the match officials upgraded it red as the contact to the head in the tackle was deemed dangerous.

His case was put on review.

Coach Mick Byrne confirmed Ikanivere is cleared of any disciplinary sanctions and will be free to play.

The Drua will face the Rebels at 8.35pm at AAMI Park.
