The Digicel Fiji U20 Women’s team has called up a 25-member squad to start preparations for their debut at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup this August.

The squad will assemble for a week-long training camp starting this Wednesday at the Fiji FA Academy in Suva.

National Women’s Head Coach Angeline Chua says this camp will focus refining the team’s playing style and strategy.

“We are just a few months away from the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and we need to get things rolling in our preparation for the first-ever appearance at the World Cup,” said  Chua.

Chua also said that several players showed exceptional performance and fitness during the Digicel Women’s IDC last weekend, proving their readiness for the upcoming international challenges.
