Kaniliwa wins first Gold for Fiji at Special Olympics

Petero Kaniliwa won the first Gold medal for Fiji in powerlifting at the Special Olympics World Games 2023 underway in Berlin, Germany on Friday.

Kaniliwa took part in three disciplines in Powerlifting grabbing two medals for Fiji.

He won Gold in the Deadlift discipline, Bronze in the Squat discipline and was placed in fourth place for bench press.

Meanwhile, Ponijese Duncan stood proud receiving his Bronze Medal for Table Tennis Singles Event.
