Key players to bolster Delta Tigers

The return of two key players will further bolster Fijian representative, Rewa FC’s chances against the Solomon Warriors in their second Group A match of the OFC Champions League in Tahiti on Wednesday.

The Delta Tigers will have veteran utility Samuela Kautoga and in-form midfielder Iosefo Verevou available.

The pair missed the opening match against Auckland City as they had copped double bookings against Lautoka in the national playoff.

Their absence saw Coach Roderick Singh make some positional changes against the defending champions; and his new defensive partnership of Patrick Joseph and Solomon Islander Leon Kofana worked pretty well in containing the Auckland attack force.

Kautoga has been a mainstay in Rewa’s defence this season while Verevou is the team’s top scorer in the Digicel Fiji Premier League with 6 goals in 9 matches.

Rewa has a point while the Solomon Warriors lost their opener 2-0 to PNG’s Hekari United.

The Rewa vs Solomon Warriors match will kick off at 1pm.
