Kumar puts Ba into Sangam IDC semis

Evergreen midfielder Roneel Kumar netted the winner as Ba overcame Tabucola 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the 95th TISI Sangam Inter District Championship at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.

Tabucola, after sending champions Rifle Range out of the tournament yesterday, looked determined to pull off another win but experience combined with the urge and hunger to win saw the Men in Black prevail in the match.

Ba will now face Suva in the second Super Premier semifinal tonight.

Suva overcame Lautoka TIV 4-1 in penalties.

Meanwhile the first semifinal will be contested between host Nadi and Hamilton.

Nadi beat Middlemore 2-1 in the quarterfinals while Hamilton beat Nacovi 1-0.
