Theresa Maria O’Boyle Levestam has been appointed the new chief executive of the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF).
In a statement, the CAAF Board of Directors said Levestam has over 30 years of professional experience in civil aviation, having held numerous leadership roles within the industry and in CAAF.
She had been acting in the position for the last three years.
Her background is in air traffic control with training in Aeronautical Search and Rescue amongst other aviation technical trainings and holds a Master’s in Business Administration – General Management Degree.
The board said she is the first Fiji licensed female air traffic controller, the first female appointed as CAAF executive.
Her appointment as chief executive is effective immediately.
