Lomani, Derenalagi return for final home roar

This weekend’s Fijian Drua’s match against the Melbourne Rebels sees the return of key players Frank Lomani and Meli Derenalagi, energising the squad for one last home game of the season.

Frank Lomani, who returns after a six-match suspension will start as halfback.

Joining him is Meli Derenalagi, resuming his position at number 8 and captain of the team.

The starting lineup features other strategic adjustments.

Haereiti Hetet will play as the loosehead prop, with Mesake Doge at tighthead and Tevita Ikanivere continuing as hooker.

The second row sees Mesake Vocevoce paired with newcomer Leone Rotuisolia.

The flankers will be Etonia Waqa on the blindside and Kitione Salawa on the openside.

The backline has Waqa Nalaga moving to the left wing, with Selestino Ravutaumada on the right.

The centers feature Kemu Valetini and Iosefo Masi at inside and outside respectively, while Ilaisa Droasese takes the fullback position. Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula continues at flyhalf.

The bench includes Zuriel Togiatama as hooker cover, Livai Natave and Samu Tawake as prop covers, and Isoa Nasilasila as the replacement lock.

Motikiai Murray and Elia Canakaivata will cover the loose forwards, with Simi Kuruvoli and Caleb Muntz ready to step in for the inside and backline roles respectively.

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua vs Melbourne Rebels match will kick off at 2.05pm.
