Fiji Bati winger Isaac Lumelume returns to the National Rugby League in Australia after signing a 1-yr contract with the Parramatta Eels this season.
The 24-year-old had joined the Canterbury Bulldogs last year but he failed to break into the strong Canterbury backline. However, he made a contribution to the club when he played in the New South Wales Cup grand final loss to Penrith Panthers.
The lanky winger, who boasts both power and speed, made his NRL debut for Melbourne Storm in 2020.
He scored three tries in six starts with the Storm before moving to Sydney last season for family reasons.
Born in Sydney but with Fijian heritage, Lumelume has played three Tests for Fiji and scored one try.
Lumelume is on a train and trial deal and faces a tough job forcing his way into the Eels’ top side.
Fellow Fijian Maika Sivo has confirmed his spot on the wing, with a host of players vying for the other.
