Mazey steps down from chairman’s role

Fiji National Sports Commission executive Chairman Peter Mazey has stepped down from his position after 13 years of service.

Mazey told FijiLive that he has served for long and wants to take a break.

“I served as Chair of Fiji Sports Council for the past 13 years so it is timely for the Sports Council to have a new Chairperson and the Sports Minister has asked me to stay on as Deputy Chair for the next three years.”

“I have also stepped down as the Executive Chairman of the Fiji National Sports Commission but will continue as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Sports Commission.”

“At 74 years it is time to relax and spend time with family and watch sports but still stay involved and assist,” he said.
