Naivalurua scoops top award at FIBA Congress

Basketball Fiji’s President Ioane Naivalurua was honored with the prestigious “President’s Award for 2023” at the FIBA Awards ceremony during the XXII FIBA Congress in Manila on Thursday.

The National Federations were recognised and celebrated for their achievements at the ceremony through a variety of awards.

The final of the 13 awards was the “President’s Award for 2023” which was awarded to the leader of a National Federation from each of FIBA’s five continents.

The award was in recognition of the work, commitment and positive impact on basketball made by each of the leaders and their National Federation during the past 5 years and was selected by FIBA President Hamane Niang.

Basketball Fiji is blessed and proud to have a great visionary, hardworking, humble and motivational leader at the helm, steering the federation to new heights.
