Nand thankful to FF leader, wife

Re-elected Member of Parliament Joseph Nand has acknowledged the FijiFirst Party leader Voreqe Bainimarama and the support he received from his wife during the 2022 General Election.

Nand, who is also the Nadroga football coach said it was a challenging year for him but his wife Vinita Nand who is the Assistant Principal of Cuvu College supported him throughout.

“Elections are very challenging,” an emotional Nand said during the Induction Workshop for Members of Parliament in Suva yesterday.

“I would like to thank my leaders for providing that guidance and necessary scaffolding that we needed. And I’m here because of my leader and the policies of the FijiFirst party. So I’m very happy that I’m here and thank the Almighty lord.”

“Also the members of the public who have voted FijiFirst so because of that I’m happy to be back here.”

“Support from the leaders and at the same time, my wife and two children. I think my wife is very supportive and I think a large part of the last four years I wasn’t at home.”

“I was Minister for two and a half years and then Assistant Minister. I was alone here while my wife was looking after our children.”
