May 04, 2013 04:18:07 PM

New control centre for Air Pac Fiji’s national carrier, Air Pacific which will be soon known as Fiji Airways has unveiled its first-of-its-kind Operations Control Centre (OCC) at its main office in Nadi.

The OCC will be the central hub of the airline’s operations and boasts state-of-the art equipment, facilities and operators.

Air Pacific managing director and chief executive Dave Pflieger said a critical part of their three year revitalisation plan always included a comprehensive overhaul and modernisation of our operational support and in completing this step, they have maximised their efficiencies, increased their skill-levels and reduced their costs significantly.

The Operations Control Centre provides cutting-edge technology solutions; training of in-house employees to replace the need for 3-party support.

It further improves On-Time Performance (OTP), fleet reliability and capabilities and enhances scheduling stability and efficiencies.
