Visitor arrivals in 2013 dropped by 0.4 per cent compared to 2012, according to figures released by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics.
And Australians remain the highest visitors into Fiji, made up 51.7 per cent of total arrivals in 2013 – up from 51.1 per cent in 2012.
The number of visitors from New Zealand also increased to 16.5 per cent in 2013 from 16.1 per cent in 2012.
Australia [340,151], New Zealand [108,239], the United States of America [55,385], Pacific Islands [39,450] and Continental Europe [28,905] were Fiji’s top five visitor source markets in 2013.
They accounted for 87 per cent of total international visitor arrivals in 2013.
Canada, United Kingdom, Continental Europe and Japan remained stagnant in their percentage of tourists visiting the country from 2012-2013 whereas USA, China, South Korea and Rest of Asia, dropped in their visitor numbers coming into Fiji.
