Inmates have say on next government About 39 inmates cast their votes at the Suva Corrections facility this morning.

The 26 remand inmates and 13 inmates are among close to 300 held at the Fiji Corrections Services 13 institutions around the country who are eligible to vote in this year's election.

At the Suva facility in Korovou, inmates were briefed by the Fijian Elections Office presiding officer prior to casting their votes.

Voting for inmates at all correctional facilities ends tomorrow. Inmates expected to be released in 12 months' who were registered at the correctional facilities are eligible to vote.

Assistant Prison Commissioner, Joe Kulidilo said prison wardens will be voting with the rest of the country next Wednesday, September 17.

"We have an arrangement in place to facilitate and ensure all officers are given time to cast their votes," Kulidilo said.
