The Fiji Retailers Association has welcomed Government's decision to significantly drop fuel prices from today.

FRA President Himmat Lodhia said the decision will come as a great relief to all people as the spiraling effect will have a net positive impact on all sectors.

"The retailers and the business community will benefit, as there will be surplus in liquidity by the significant net savings on peoples personal fuel expenditure."

"The FEA will now be in a far better position considering the huge amount they were spending on the fossil fuels."

Lodhia added that  fuel price drops should be announced on a more regular basis particularly in light of International oil price drops.
